Richland County deputies seek suspect in armed robbery

Columbia, SC(WACH)-The Richland County Sheriff's Department is looking for a suspect wanted for armed robbery.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said just after 4:00 PM Friday, April 6, 2012 at 7006 Two Notch Road, the location of a Best Buy, Richland County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an armed robbery.  Lott said the unknown suspect entered the business and walked inside the restroom.

The victim told deputies that he went inside the restroom where the unknown suspect pointed a handgun and demanded that he empty his pockets. A shot was fired during a brief struggle and the suspect then ran out of the restroom and fled the business. No injuries were reported during this incident. Video surveillance equipment captured the suspect in the store. Viewers can see the suspect  wearing a  black t-shirt untucked and blue jeans.
