COLUMBIA (WACH) - The identity of the man who was shot and killed by security guards Friday night outside of a Columbia nightclub was released Monday.

Richland County Coroner Gary Watts says Tran died from complications of multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.
Investigators said Richland County deputies were called to Club Element around 11:45 p.m. Friday.
A security guard reached into the car to turn off the ignition after the driver struck several cars in the parking lot, but ended up being run over. Other guards at the club then fired shots at the vehicle, killing the driver.
The injured security guard was taken to the hospital and is now in stable condition with a broken leg.
Sheriff's deputies have not decided whether to file charges.
