WEST COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) - Deputies are looking for whoever used their car to break into a West Columbia building and steal several guns Thursday morning.
The Lexington County Sheriff's Department responded to an alarm at S&R Gun Sales on Emanuel Church road around 2 a.m. Thursday.
Deputies discovered a back door to the building that had severe damage. They believe a vehicle was used to force entry into the gun shop.
The owner of the store met responding officers and determined that nearly $5,000 of merchandise was stolen.
According to the incident report, pistols and revolvers were missing from the store.
One pistol has been recovered.
