COLUMBIA (WACH) -- For many of us our eyes light up when we see the hot doughnut sign at Krispy Kreme.
Thursday students and faculty at Columbia International University had the opportunity to meet the person who helps to make it all possible.
The company’s CEO Jim Morgan speaking to a crowd during chapel service on campus about fulfilling their desire to help men and women in the marketplace grow in their walk with the Lord.
Morgan talking about how his faith and conviction helps to make his business successful.
"Wherever they go next in life that they don’t have to leave their faith at the doorstep. They can take it with them into the mission field, church , parachurch or the marketplace and live it out fully seven days a week," says Jim Morgan, CEO, Krispy Kreme.
During his speech Morgan said when the economy started going bad and the company could not afford to give out pay rises, the company offered something else.
Employees were given additional time off to spend with family, to enhance their faith or to impact the community.
Columbia International University is a Christian institution of higher education aimed at emphasizing spiritual formation, biblical authority and world evangelization.
