COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Richland County deputies want your help identifying a suspect who they say robbed two women at gunpoint Wednesday evening.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott says surveillance video shows a suspect with possible ties to the armed robbery at the Broad River Rd. Hess gas station.

One of the victims says she and a friend were sitting in their car when a man approached them with a shotgun demanding her purse.  She says he then fled the scene with about $200, her debit card, and I.D.

The women were able to get to a nearby gas station where they called 9-1-1.

Authorities ask that if you have any information, call CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
