COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Williams-Brice Stadium will be a crayon box of garnet, black, orange, and purple Saturday night for the annual Carolina-Clemson football game.  This year, they'll be adding some green.

"The Brice" is getting a more sustainable power boost for the second year in a row.  USC has teamed up with Santee Cooper to ensure all the football game's electricity needs are met with Green Power.

"Powering such a high-energy game with in-state renewable resources is a victory we can all celebrate," said USC President Harris Pastides.  "I'm all for being green, along with being garnet and black, or course."

Santee Cooper is South Carolina's leader in generating renewable energy.

"This alliance with USC is a game-winning play right out of our Green Power playbook," says Santee Cooper President Lonnie Cooper.  "When Green Power is purchased for an event, that money is fully reinvested in new or expanded Santee Cooper Green Power generation. That has the power to change the way we all see the world - whether we bleed garnet or orange. "

The Carolina-Clemson football game is set to kick off Saturday at 7:45 p.m.
