LEXINGTON (WACH) --  Hundreds lined the streets of downtown Lexington Sunday afternoon for the 9th annual Veterans Parade.

The parade honors the brave men and women who serve in the military.

Former Marine Gene Wilbur was the event's keynote speaker. "It was an honor for me to be here among these veterans of Lexington County, knowing the heroism that they all portrayed during the wars that they participated in," said Wilbur.

The City of Columbia is holding its annual Veterans Day Parade Friday morning. It starts at 11:00 am and runs along Sumter Street.
