COLUMBIA (WACH) -- The University of South Carolina and Auburn University will meet at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1, the SEC office announced Sunday.

The SEC matchup will be televised nationally on CBS as part of their double-header package at Williams-Brice Stadium.

The Gamecocks are 4-0 overall, 2-0 in the SEC, while Auburn is 3-1 overall and 1-0 in league action.

The teams met twice last season with the Tigers winning both contests, a 35-27 decision in Auburn on Sept. 25, then a 56-17 win in Atlanta in the SEC Championship Game on Dec. 4.

Announcers for the game will be Ian Eagle, Dan Fouts and Steve Beuerlein.
