COLUMBIA (WACH) -- There's good news for motorists in the Midlands.  Gas prices have fallen since last week, but not by much.

The average price for a gallon of unleaded is now $3.49 in Columbia, according to ColumbiaGasPrices.com.

That average is up 23.1 cents higher than last month and $1.03 per gallon above last year.

That's compared to the national average, which climbed 1.1 cents over the past week, to $3.70.
