COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Columbia Mayor Steve Benjamin announced an expansion of the Back to School Drills and Skills clinic Thursday.  It's a program he started last year for kids in the community.

Benjamin says the initiative will now include tennis, as well as basketball.

The mayor says athletics are a positive force for kids, and expects bigger and better things this year.

"We're just excited about helping this community make the move from a good community to a great community," Benjamin explains.  "We'll never do that if our people aren't healthy, and we're going to start with our kids."

The week-long Drills and Skills clinic runs from August 8 through August 13.  You have until July 29 to register.
