NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Motorists are crying over hundreds of cases of spilt beer on I-26 near mile marker 205 in North Charleston.

According to Lance Cpl. Bob Beres with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, two tractor trailers collided, one hit the center wall and spilled beer all over the interstate.

Beres said only two lanes in each direction are open.

As of 11:30 a.m., the accident and spilt beer had created serious gridlock, and Beres said delays should be expected until cleanup is complete.

That cleanup includes cases of Schlitz Malt Liquor and Old Milwaukee.
