GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) -- South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley says CertusBank will open a corporate headquarters in Greenville and create 350 jobs.

The governor made the announcement Wednesday at a news conference in Greenville, where officials unveiled plans for a downtown office complex called One Greenville that also will be home to a law firm, retailers and other businesses.

CertusBank is a subsidiary of Blue Ridge Holdings Inc. with offices in Charlotte, N.C., and Atlanta. CertusBank has an operations center in nearby Easley and has recently acquired the assets of failed banks taken over by federal regulators.

Project spokesman Barry Finkelstein says the first portion of the project will cost about $50 million and have 175,000 square feet of office and retail space. Construction starts this summer and should be complete late next year.
