COLUMBIA (WACH, AP) -- Business mogul and reality TV host Donald Trump officially cancelled a visit to Columbia this week after announcing he won't be filing for the 2012 GOP presidential race.
The appearance would have happened Wednesday for a Columbia Tea Party rally at the State House. It would have been Trump's first in South Carolina.
Organizer Allen Olson said the event will go on without Trump and his group will consider hearing from other presidential hopefuls who want to take Trump's time.
Trump was to headline an awards event that will recognize South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, legislators and conservative activists.
Trump announced Monday he would not be running for president.
