COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Christians around the world celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday. Many taking this time to use this holiday as a weekend to be with family.

Even though gas prices are on the rise there were still folks traveling for the holiday weekend.

Columbia Metropolitan Airport still serving patrons over the weekend despite fears different airlines would increase the price to offset rising oil prices.

Folks we talked to Sunday say they really didn't see a spike in their ticket.

”This has been booked two or three months ago so I know that gas has spiked in the last couple of weeks really, so I haven't really seen the increase in this ticket,” says Michael Brandon, traveler.
