RICHLAND COUNTY (WACH) -- Just two weeks after Midlands restaurant owner Steve Kim was shot and killed at his Decker Boulevard business, Dino's is now back open.

Kim's family got back to work serving the lunch crowd Friday. They say they are grateful for the show of support from the community.

"Its been encouraging to see how much support we've gotten from the community," said Kim's daughter Jane Long.  "The love, and sympathy cards, and flowers they've left here.  "We are very appreciative."

Kim's family also says they will be adding more surveillance cameras to their store, as well as asking for more patrols in the area from Richland County Deputies.

Patrick Hemphill dines at Dino's about twice a week.  He looks at the reopening as a bittersweet moment.

"The place is full today, everybody is smiling, the food smells good, I'm sure it will taste good."

Investigators say Kim was shot and killed at Dino's during a lengthy Columbia crime spree committed by Mario Stokes.  They say Stokes robbed multiple businesses at gunpoint, carjacked a woman and led police on a chase before taking his own life.

WACH Fox News spoke to Steve Kim in 2008 about a murder that occurred two years before at the business next to Dino's.  Kim was quoted saying, "life is very important so they try to help us so this doesn't happen next time again," when talking about the police's search for that suspect.  Read the full story here.
