COLUMBIA (WACH) -- The Palmetto State blogger who created a media firestorm last summer over claims of an "inappropriate physical relationship" with Gov. Nikki Haley has released an initial excerpt from his forthcoming book -- and he's daring Haley to sue him.

Will Folks, a former press secretary for Gov. Mark Sanford, released a 281-word excerpt Friday which he claims documents his first sexual encounter with the married then-Rep. Haley in early 2007.

Folks writes in the excerpt "It was apparent to both Nikki and I that the sexual chemistry between the two of us was very strong. Nikki told me that night that she had never been unfaithful to her husband – and that up until that evening she had never so much as kissed another man before."

Haley has repeatedly denied Folks' allegations; saying she has been "100 percent faithful" to her husband. Haley went as far as to say while still a candidate for governor that she would resign from office if the claims against her were proven to be true. However, Folks has seized on the fact that Haley has not filed a lawsuit against him for libel or defamation as evidence to support his allegations.

Gov. Haley has also declined to release emails from her legislative account that Folks claims would provide additional evidence. Haley did release some, but not all, of her legislative email prior to November's election.

Folks again challenged the governor to sue him this week over the truthfulness of his claims.

"Anytime Haley wants to sue us for libel, we’re waiting," Folks writes on his blog.
