ORANGEBURG (WACH) -- South Carolina State University spending is under the microscope.

The Legislative Audit Council will study what happened to millions of dollars planned for the school's James Clyburn Transportation Center.

A Charleston Newspaper reports that university officials can't account for millions in state and federal money for the center.

But Congressman Clyburn says the money is safe and accounted for in the bank.

As for the school's president, Dr. George Cooper says the university will fully cooperate with an audit.
