CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- A C-17 Air Force transport is set to perform a low-level flyover along the South Carolina coast.

The Charleston Air Force Base says the "Salute from the Shore" event will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday in honor of Independence Day.

The C-17 will fly over seven coastal cities within 45 minutes. They are Myrtle Beach, Garden City, Pawleys Island, Sullivans Island, Edisto Beach, Beaufort and Hilton Head Island.

The plane will fly between 500 and 1,000 feet off the ground and 2,000 feet off the coastline.
