COLUMBIA - Good for the Soles owner Kelly Tabor said he is not hiring until his sales remain consistent.
The five point’s businessman said now that business has picked up he is thinking about hiring a few more part-time workers.
That’s good news for a state that has 24,000 fewer jobs than it had last year.
According to a report released Friday by the South Carolina Employment Security Commission, the state’s jobless count held steady at 12.5 percent.
Coastal Carolina University Economist Don Schunk said for the most part the new jobless rate is positive.
Schunk also predicted that most business owners will start hiring again as their sales continue to rise.
