COLUMBIA -- The Healthy Carolina Farmer's Market at the University of South Carolina helped ring in spring Tuesday afternoon.

Vendors offer organic local produce, arts, crafts, and even fresh shrimp and crawfish.

Violet Beets of Healthy Carolina points to USC President Dr. Harris Pastides and the USC sustainability committee as major driving forces behind the event.

“The green movement is growing in America, and it’s definitely alive at USC," says Violet, pointing to the more than steady turnout on a sunny afternoon.

The market runs Tuesdays March 23 and 30 and April 6, 13 and 20.
