St. Matthews, SC - A South Carolina jury has found a Calhoun County man guilty of killing a trucker in March.
The jury deliberated for roughly three hours before convicting Willie Pelzer shortly before 6 pm Friday. Pelzer was on trial for the shooting death of Jason Rivenburg, a truck driver from upstate New York. Authorities say Pelzer shot Rivenburg in the cab of his truck at an abandoned gas station in Calhoun County, then took $7 dollars from him.
A judge sentenced Willie Pelzer to life in prison without parole.
