COLUMBIA -- The Columbia Police Department says two burglary suspects are in custody after officers received a phone tip from a concerned neighbor.

According to Columbia Police Chief Tandy Carter, Willie Lee Kelly, 19, and a 15-year-old juvenile were arrested and charged with breaking into a home at 412 Hampton Forest Drive at about 8 am Friday.

Columbia Police located the suspects as they left the scene after the witness gave officers a description of the suspects' vehicle and clothing. Police say they found a laptop stolen from the Hampton Forest Drive residence in the vehicle.

Kelly faces charges including failure to stop for police lights, burglary and possession of a stolen vehicle. The juvenile’s charges have not been determined.
