LEXINGTON COUNTY -- The Lexington County Sheriff's Department has three men in custody charged in connection with what they say was a drug-related shooting on Wednesday near Pelion.

The shooting took place at a home on Pine Grove Road in the Fairview community around 4 p.m. Deputies say the occupant of the home, Winslow Hendrix, 24, was shot and seriously injured during the incident. He was taken to Palmetto Health Richland for treatment.

Alvin Agnew, Jr., 18, of Swansea; Phillip Harold Jackson, 22, of Gaston; and Clifton Lamar Sutton, 19, Swansea, are each charged with first-degree burglary and armed robbery. All all currently being held in the Lexington County detention center.

The shooting incident remains under investigation and deputies may file additional charges or arrest additional persons in the upcoming days, according to Lexington County Sheriff James Metts.
