Columbia, SC - Authorities have tracked down a Midlands man they say sexually assaulted and kidnapped his girlfriend last week.
Officials with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, Fairfield County Sheriff’s Department and the Winnsboro Department of Public Safety arrested Bun Mann III. He faces several charges including sexual assault, assault and battery and kidnapping in both Fairfield and Richland Counties.
SLED officials say they tracked down Mann at the Castlewood Apartments in Winnsboro shortly before 1 p.m.Tuesday. Investigators say they found Mann hiding in an attic. Tiffany Boyd was also arrested in the case and charged with harboring a fugitive.
Investigators say Bun Mann sexually assaulted his girlfriend at the Paces Run apartments in Columbia and then took her to Winnsboro, where authorities say he severely assaulted her.
Fairfield County authorities also had several outstanding warrants on Mann for Assault and Battery of a High and Aggravated Nature, Simple Assault and Larceny.
Mann and Tiffany Boyd are being held at the Fairfield County Detention Center.
