Columbia, SC - Richland County deputies have made an arrest in the case of a man they say robbed and stabbed a clerk at a Two Notch Road video store on Halloween.

Deputies say a citizen tip led them to arrest James Randolph Jr., age 24, Wednesday. Randolph is charged with attempted armed robbery and assault and battery with intent to kill.

Investigators say Randolph walked into "This is It" at 5024 Two Notch Road with a knife and demanded money from the clerk.

Authorities say the suspect became angry when another employee approached, and he then stabbed one of the clerks in the neck.  Sheriff Leon Lott says the suspect then fled the store.

The robbery victim received non-life threatening injuries in the attack. Randolph remains in the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center on a $150,000 bond.
