According to the Richland County Sherrif's Department, a 14 year-old boy was shot around 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning while sitting on his porch at 3738 Humphrey Drive.  Officials say the victim was shot in the lower body and transported to the hospital.  Deputies say the suspect was driving a red jeep.  While the incident was occuring ouside of the home, the victims sister, who was inside the house, says she didn't believe her brother at first.  She states, "It didn't seem like it was real because everything was happening so fast.  So we thought maybe he was playing but we was serious. We saw the blood on the floor and realized he really did get shot and he said he was in a lot of pain."

Right now the victim is currently in the hospital fighting major internal injuries.

Any one with any information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CrimeSC.  All calls remain anonymous.
