West Columbia, S.C. - A West Columbia school turned its campus into a video gamers' paradise Wednesday for a good cause.

The Glenforest School in West Columbia set up nearly 25 Wii video-gaming systems in the school's gym for a day-long marathon gaming session.  The event, dubbed "Wii Care," raised money for cystic fibrosis research.  Athletic director William Knopf and the student government association organized the event.

Columbia television personalities, including WACH FOX News at 10's Brian McConchie and Mike Woolfolk, radio personalities and local dignitaries competed in the all-day event that ran from 8 am to 8 pm.  The event raised more than $2300 dollars for cystic fibrosis.   Students, their families and the community donated to the cause.  A teacher at the Glenforest School has a young son with the disease.
