Richland County deputies need your help cracking a cold case. It has been three years since someone gunned down a Midlands father of three right in his own home.

Investigators say on October 27, 2005 someone knocked on 29-year-old Antonio "Tony" Corbitt's door at the Willow Creek Apartments on Fernandina Road in Columbia. They say Corbitt, who many knew by the nickname "T-Love," did not know the person so he did not open the door. Deputies say that's when the man forced Corbitt's door open and shot him in front of Corbitt's 9-year-old son.

Richland County cold case investigators say the dispute may have been over money. They work on the case every week, but leads are drying up.

Corbitt's mother Sonya says every time the October 27 anniversary date of her only son's death gets closer, the pain of losing him gets worse.

"I start to panic just like it was yesterday," says Corbitt. "I feel just like I was just told that I lost my son. I miss him so, so much. So much."

Investigators say a tip from the community may help them solve this case. If you know anything about the shooting death of Antonio Corbitt call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC. All calls remain anonymous.
