BENNETTSVILLE, S.C. (AP) -- Gov. Nikki Haley is scheduled to visit Bennettsville to give constituents a chance to sit down and chat.
Haley is holding "open door" meetings on Saturday at the Marian Wright Edelman Public Library. Anyone interested should call (803) 734-1999 between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Friday.
Haley's office says the meetings give people a chance to discuss any issue with the governor. Appointments are made on a first-come, first-served basis. Residents are given a 30-minute window to reserve a slot.
The "open door after 4" sessions were started by former Gov. Mark Sanford. Haley continued the tradition.
Also on Saturday, the governor is participating in the Original Six Foundation's Marlboro County Day.
