COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Shoppers wanting to save a few bucks got their chance Saturday, while giving back at the same time.

The 16th annual Clean Sweep rummage sale was held at the State Fairgrounds Saturday. New and used donated items were sold at affordable prices. All of the items were donated by members and businesses of the Junior League of Columbia, an organization of women aimed to promote volunteerism and improving communities.

Shoppers paid only $3 to come in and buy any item at discounted prices, bringing out thousands. From 1-2 p.m. organizers gave shoppers a large trash bag for people to put as many items as they can for only $5.
