There's a new way to get home safe after a night out in the Midlands.

COLUMBIA (WACH) – Citing a survey indicating that 80 percent of people risk driving when they may be under the influence because they don’t want to be stuck without a car in the morning, Chris Schroeder from Schroeder’s Towing has come up with a unique business model.
“I’ll come pick up you and your car, making sure you both make it home safe,” Schroeder says. Jim Crawford, who has been in law enforcement for nearly twenty-five years, says that the impact of a DUI arrest can cost more than $10,000, and have a large impact professionally and personally.
“The concept has been embraced by local bars,” Crawford says.
Schroeder can take up to 5 people home safe, and his wrecker utilizes a wheel lift system that doesn’t touch any other part of a car.
