Tuesday, June 05, 2012  Columbia city council voted 6-1 Tuesday night to approve the sale of the Capital City Stadium property to a Walmart developer. The study, conducted by AMEC Environment and Infrastructure, concludes that a proposed development could be implemented "without significant impacts" to the Rocky Branch Watershed.

Tuesday, February 21, 2012  On Tuesday night, Columbia leaders took the next step in the potential development of the old Capital City Stadium property. City council voted to approve a study on the impact any potential development in the area will have on already existing flooding and water-quality issues.

Friday, September 30, 2011  Two men were arrested following the fatal shooting of three farm animals in Woodruff Thursday, according to the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office.  Deputies said a llama and donkey were shot to death in a pasture near Racetrack Road and Brown Kennedy Road at the Lazy K Farms, and another donkey was shot several times but survived.
