The U.S. Geological Survey says a small 2.3 magnitude earthquake has been reported in the northwestern part of South Carolina.

The U.S. Geological Survey said Friday the 2.3-magnitude quake struck about 1:15 p.m. about six miles north of Camden. Kershaw County officials say a number of residents reported feeling the ground shake, but no damages have been reported.
