A special wreath-laying ceremony will take place at Fort Jackson to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. The ceremony will be held at 9 a.m. this Friday in front of post headquarters. All are welcome to attend.

Word of Osama bin Laden's death is welcome news for Irmo resident Dawn Yamashiro. Her brother died in the September 11 attack on the twin towers. Yamashiro says she was in disbelief when the news broke. Her 32 year old brother, Brain G. Warner, husband and father of two, was in the north tower when the plane crashed into the building.

New York City's transit agency has approved a bus advertisement that objects to a planned mosque near ground zero and that depicts a plane flying toward the World Trade Center towers.
