Wednesday, February 13, 2013  Luther McIlwain, an aviator with the famed Tuskegee Airmen who broke military racial barriers during World War II, a retired New York City police officer, and a civil rights advocate in Massachusetts, has died. He was 91.

Thursday, October 04, 2012  One of the original Tuskegee Airmen who lived here in Columbia has died. Funeral services took place Thursday for James McClain.
