    Monday, November 12, 2012  A story that began four years ago, of 49 abused Arabian horses, has come to a happy ending. The Humane Society of the Midlands took posession of the horses in 2008 and nursed them back to health. All but ten of the horses have now been adopted out to new homes.

    Monday, July 13, 2009  45 malnourished and weak horses were seized from Trexler family properties in February 2008. That story shocked the Midlands more than a year ago. That's when police arrested Hazel Trexler and her two sons James and Terry. They're facing 14-felony animal abuse charges. They still haven't gone to trial.
