Gov. Nikki Haley has signed into law a bill designed to stop a South Carolina town from using a traffic camera to send speeders a ticket in the mail.

The town of Ridgeland is asking a federal judge to toss out a lawsuit challenging the town's use of cameras to catch speeders on Interstate 95 in southern South Carolina. The company that helped the town launch the camera system also has asked that the suit filed in Charleston be dismissed.
