Monday, October 03, 2011  Gamecock Defensive End Melvin Ingram has done it again.  Southeastern Conference officials named him Defensive Player of the Week for the second week in a row.  Ingram racked up a total 11 tackles, over four tackles for a loss and a career-best 3.5 sacks.  Ingram also intercepted a pass in Saturday's 16-13 loss to Auburn.

Sunday, September 25, 2011  The Southeastern Conference says Texas A&M is set to be join the league next year. The SEC announced Sunday that the move will be effective next July.

Monday, September 12, 2011  Tennessee quarterback Tyler Bray and Alabama safety Mark Barron are the Southeastern Conference offensive and defensive players of the week.  The league also named South Carolina's Melvin Ingram special teams player of the week Monday.
