The midlands faces another day of strong to potentially severe thunderstorms. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Storm Prediction Center has issued a severe thunderstorm watch until 11 pm for the following counties: Aiken, Calhoun, Fairfield, Kershaw, Lexington, Newberry, Richland, Saluda and Sumter counties. A watch means that conditions are favorable for severe storms.
