Thursday, February 02, 2012  A USC student has been arrested and charged with throwing Molotov cocktails around the Columbia area. Authorities say 22-year-old Theodore Podewil is also the prime suspect in the January 6 fire that damaged the Salty Nut Cafe in Five Points.

Friday, January 06, 2012  Chief Aubrey Jenkins has named a person of interest in the Salty Nut fire and released surveillance pictures captured by a camera in Five Points shortly before the fire began.

Friday, March 25, 2011  The nation's top college football recruit, and future Gamecock, Jadeveon Clowney confirmed to coach Steve Spurrier he was searched by police in Five Points early Friday morning.  Coach Steve Spurrier was "arrested" at football practice by Columbia Police Chief Randy Scott.
