A USC student has been arrested and charged with throwing Molotov cocktails around the Columbia area. Authorities say 22-year-old Theodore Podewil is also the prime suspect in the January 6 fire that damaged the Salty Nut Cafe in Five Points.

The nation's top college football recruit, and future Gamecock, Jadeveon Clowney confirmed to coach Steve Spurrier he was searched by police in Five Points early Friday morning. Coach Steve Spurrier was "arrested" at football practice by Columbia Police Chief Randy Scott.
