Orangeburg County authorities say they’ve arrested a Bishopville man who tried to solicit sex from an Orangeburg teen. Sheriff Leroy Ravenell says 32-year old Matthew Gardner befriend the 13-year-old boy during a wrestling match in August.

Orangeburg officials say 30-year-old Natasha Livingston burned her sister on her face and arms with a hot steam iron during a fight. The 20-year-old victim suffered 2nd degree burns.

Deputies in Orangeburg County say they found and destroyed an illegal liquor distilling operation this week. Officials with the Orangeburg County Sheriff's Department say they were called to the site on Catamount Road in Holly Hill. When they arrived, investigators found 11 barrels in a field unattended.

Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell says deputies found an illegal liquor distillery in a wooded area of Jaques Lane on Friday. Ravenell said deputies seized over 30 barrels of mash, nine cookers, a water pump, five propane tanks and more than 45 gallons of illegal liquor from the property.

Officials say they've arrested five counterfeiting suspects in Orangeburg. Orangeburg County Sheriff's Department Leroy Ravenell says more than $120,000 in counterfeit goods were seized during an undercover investigation at the Springfield Flea Market and Silverback Wholesalers.
