Sandra "Sandy" Rogers for Wednesday at the University of South Carolina Aiken Convocation Center. Burial is taking place at Historic Bethany Cemetery in downtown Aiken.

Monday, January 30, 2012  The 26-year-old Joshua Tremaine Jones is charged with killing a South Carolina officer and is expected to appear before a magistrate judge on Monday in Aiken according to Magistrate Judge Tracey Carroll. Tuesday, May 03, 2011  The State Law Enforcement Division is investigating the death of a man killed in an officer-involved shooting in Eutawville.  SLED spokeswoman Jennifer Timmons said Tuesday state police are involved at the request of the town and Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell.

Friday, March 04, 2011  The Richland County Sheriff's Department says deputies pulled over a white Buick LeSabre on Shakespeare Road in a routine traffic stop.  A father and son were in the car when the son fled on foot. Deputies chased after Davis when he pulled out a gun.  The deputy pulled her gun and fired at Antonio Davis, hitting him.  The officer was not shot contrary to earlier reports.
