The Columbia Police Chief Department announced the arrest of a man they say shot into a crowd at a local McDonald’s restaurant last weekend.Torance Lamar Peoples, 20, is charged with Seven Counts of Attempted Murder, Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime, Possession of a Firearm by a Person Convicted of a Violent Crime and Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Conveyance.

A Spartanburg woman told deputies that the iPad she bought from two men in a McDonald's restaurant parking lot turned out to be a block of wood painted black with an Apple logo. The 22-year-old woman told authorities the men first told her they were selling the iPads they bought in bulk for $300, but agreed to sell her one for $180 when she said that was all the money she had.
