The Citadel's board has taken a step toward hiring an independent investigator to look into its handling of a complaint about a former camp counselor who later pled guilty to number of sex charges. The school's board of visitors has agreed to hire an expert next week to recommend by Aug. 24 three appropriate firms to review the allegations.
