Richland County officials say a family has been lined up to adopt the newborn that was found abandoned by his mother earlier this week on Long Creek Drive. At a press conference Thursday, deputies say arrangements are in place and a home has been found.

Officials in Richland County say they found a newborn child abandoned outside an apartment building Monday morning. Deputies say they received a call about the newborn boy around 6:30 at the Enclave Apartments at 1800 Long Creek Drive.
