Friday, Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott held a news conference to discuss several cases the sheriff's department is working on namely drugs and weapons bust, investigators made, but soon the conference was taken over by reporters asking questions about the search and questions about the suspect, Freddie Grant. Lott revealed Grant is asking for a gag order in the case. So far, Grant is refusing to discuss the case with investigators.

South Carolina Treasurer Curtis Loftis says the state pension system is underperforming and paying too much in fees.Loftis is to testify Tuesday to a Senate Finance subcommittee. Legislators are looking to reform the pension system to make it more secure. Possibilities include requiring public workers to contribute more of their salary to their retirement benefits
