Along with the record breaking high, gas prices in the Midlands have risen 5 cents over the past week to an average of $3.15 a gallon. The national average however, has remained stable over the last 7 days at $3.43, according to the gas website.

The Midland’s pain at the pump are up a little over 4 cents a gallon to $3.42, according to ColumbiaGasPrices.com. Nationally, the rise was about 2 cents less than the Midlands, however, the national price remains a heafty $3.70 a gallon.
