The latest poll in South Carolina keeps 2012 GOP primary candidate Herman Cain slightly ahead of Mitt Romney. The Georgia businessman pulled in support from 30 percent of those likely Republican primary voters polled in the NBC News/Marist Poll.

The party says former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, former governors Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota, Gov. Gary Johnson of New Mexico; pizza magnate Herman Cain and U.S. Rep. Ron Paul of Texas will attend the debate that takes place Thursday at 9 p.m. in Greenville at the Peace Center.
