The Gamecocks moved up a spot this week as the nation's 11th best team in the latest USA Today Coaches Poll and the Associated Press poll after knocking off conference rival Georgia 45-42 Saturday. Since that ranking came out, The AP corrected a balloting error meaning Carolina is now number 10. The USC victory marks the first time a Gamecock football team has beaten Georgia in back-to-back years since the 2000 and 2001 seasons.
