Tuesday, October 16, 2012  Police say the person accused of stealing a donation jar used to raise funds for burn victims was stolen from a local convenience store last week has been identified.

Tuesday, October 16, 2012  On Monday, October 15th, a man about between 20 and 30 years old, standing about 5feet, 7 inches tall walked in to the First Palmetto State Bank at 3932 Forest Drive. The man was wearing a gray sports coat blue dress slacks, and a blue bandana over his face. He used a small caliber pistol to force bank employees to give him money. He then fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

Monday, May 23, 2011  Columbia police say a suspect involved in an armed robbery and kidnapping last week has struck again.  Investigators say 42-year-old Donald Allen Kelly broke into a home on Kathwood Drive, showed a knife and demanded money.  They say Kelly took an undisclosed amount of money and got away in an unknown vehicle.

Friday, May 20, 2011  Police are looking for a suspect involved in an armed robbery and kidnapping that took place Tuesday.  The Forest Acres Police Department says 42-year-old Donald Allen Kelly knocked on the door of a home off Forest Drive around 8 p.m. asking for help.

Thursday, February 24, 2011  Authorities are questioning why a violent criminal with a long rap sheet was on the streets able to commit several robberies and a murder earlier this week.  Investigators say Mario Stokes robbed multiple businesses at gunpoint, carjacked a woman, and murdered a Forest Acres restaurant owner Tuesday night before committing suicide in front of police.

Monday, July 26, 2010  Forest Acres Police say two suspects, one wearing official looking police clothing, scammed a woman who was previously a victim of a banking scam.
